As all devoted tea drinkers I swear by loose tea. I believe that using  loose tea leaves has a ton more advantages that using tea bags. However, I still buy tea bags because I have to admit they are so convenient and my hectic schedule often doesn’t allow me to invest  much time in preparing my tea as I would like to. So last week I  went out for some tea shopping and this is a product I bought and I  felt compelled writing a review for since I loved it.

The product I am talking about is the “Yogi Kava Stress Relief Tea”.  This tea is supposed to ease tension and promote relaxation.

The ingredients found in it are:

Carob Pod, Indian Sarsaparilla Root, Organic Cinnamon Bark, Organic Ginger Root, Organic Barley Malt, Kava Root Extract, Cardamom Pod, Natural Hazelnut Flavor, Stevia Leaf, Natural Licorice Flavor, Natural Cinnamon Bark Oil.

Ok so let me start by saying I loved the taste of it. It tasted bitter but balanced with the sweetness of stevia and licorice and and I loved the fact that I could taste the cardamom and cinnamon. I usually use a spoon full of organic honey in my tea but I skipped it with this one as I found it sweet enough as it is. I used some milk instead. I tried it hot and on ice but I prefer it hot. I would love to be able to taste more the spiciness of ginger in it though.

It contains Kava, a root native to the South Pacific and  known for centuries for its calming and soothing  effects on body and mind. It left me revitalized yet  restful, tranquil but alert, capable to concentrate on  my late afternoon activities (usually reading , or doing  homework) and unbothered by unnecessary thoughts. On long, tough days I will be carrying some of this with  me since it has an instant calming effect and lets you  feeling relaxed. If you have a rather overactive brain  like mine I would greatly suggest to try this product.  The only downturn was that I didn’t find it strong enough as I had to steep two teabags to get the relaxing effect of it.

You can find Yogi tea products in most health food stores and at a very friendly price.

This tea is pure bliss! Have you tried “Yogi Kava Stress Relief Tea” before?  Please leave a commend below. I would love to know your opinion.
